Titusville Man Facing Federal Fraud Charges

A man from Brevard County is facing federal charges related to identity theft and fraud. 32 year old Carmel Linot of Titusville, is charged with mail fraud, bank fraud, two counts of aggravated identity theft and two counts of false representation of a Social Security number. Federal prosecutors say Linot used someone else’s Social Security number to create a false identity and open a new bank account before getting a credit card. If convicted, Linot could face up to 30 years in prison for bank fraud, 20 years for mail fraud, and 10 years for the false SSN.
