The Brevard County School Board has voted to add a property tax increase proposal to the upcoming November ballot. If it passes, it would mean property owners would pay $1 more per $1,000 of assessed value. In other words, if you own a property worth $200,000 would pay $200 more per year. The money would be earmarked to pay for raises for teachers and staff, along with other priorities.
