Brevard Man Charged With Animal Cruelty

A Brevard County man accused of animal cruelty. The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office arrested 68 year old Joseph Farkas after a woman contacted them and claimed that Farkas was starving his two dogs to death. When deputies showed up at his home, they discovered the two dogs in extremely poor health. One of them was not even able to move, and the other dog also had difficulty moving. Both dogs were determined to be in life-threatening condition, and they were removed from Farkas’ home and given medical care. Farkas is now facing charges of two counts of aggravated animal cruelty and two counts of unlawful animal confinement.
