Busy Launch Schedule This Week

Hurricane Ian put a temporary hold on rocket launches from here on the Space Coast, but that is changing big time this week. Three flights are planned before the end of the week, with United Launch Alliance and SpaceX making final preparations for launches on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from both Cape Canaveral Space Force Station and the Kennedy Space Center. Tomorrow, United Launch Alliance plans to launch an Atlas V rocket with liftoff set for 5:36pm. SpaceX and NASA are now shooting for 12 noon Wednesday for the launch of a crewed mission to the International Space Station. Then on Thursday, SpaceX will launch a Falcon 9 during a launch window that runs between 7 and 8pm. Both SpaceX launches will include first stage landings on a drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean, after which the rockets will return to Port Canaveral to be refurbished for their next missions.
