Tropical Storm Lisa Forms – No Threat To Florida

We have now entered the final month of Hurricane Season, and on Monday, Tropical Storm Lisa formed in the central Caribbean. Yesterday, the storm was located 290 miles south-southeast of Grand Cayman and 615 miles east of Belize City, and it was packing winds of 45 mph and was moving west at 12 mph. Gradual strengthening is expected, and Lisa is forecast to become a hurricane by early Wednesday. But don’t get all worked up and start panic buying… the storm is not expected to pose any threat whatsoever to us here in Florida.
