Early Voting Numbers Trending Lower

Early voting is underway now here in Central Florida, ahead of the general election which is set for next Tuesday, November 8th. With just one week left before Election Day, it seems this time around, fewer people are voting early. Voter turnout is low across most of the area compared to the mid-term election of 2018. Tim Bobanic, the Brevard County Supervisor of Elections, said Monday that while the number of early voters so far is down a bit, the flow of early voters has been steady. In 2018, there were a little more than 80,000 ballots cast in Brevard County ahead of Election Day… over a period of 8 early voting days. There are 13 early voting days this year, and as of today we are a little over halfway through the early voting period. So far, a little over 35,000 votes have been cast in Brevard.
