Mullins Last Day – December 31st

Brevard County Superintendent of Schools Mark Mullins’ last day on the job will be December 31st. Mullins and and the school board made their separation official Monday, and part of the agreement calls for Mullins to serve out the rest of the year. As of the beginning of the new year, he will receive 20 weeks of pay and continued benefits… exactly the same thing he would have gotten if he had been fired without cause. Mullins served as an administrator with Brevard Public Schools for nearly three decades before a shakeup over mask mandates and transgender students lead to calls for his resignation. On Monday, Mullins spoke to reporters, and described the separation process as “amicable.” He said the agreement was fair.
