A mother and her two sons were killed after she intentionally crashed a car into a Polk County lake. Police say the bodies of 35-year-old Ortilla Zamora and her two boys, ages 4 and 9, were found in a car submerged in the waters of Lake Wire… about 15 feet offshore. Investigators said it was not a traffic crash, and there were no signs of trauma on any of the three people. Following autopsies, Lakeland police investigators believe Zamora “intentionally drove her vehicle into Lake Wire the morning of December 30th. Her family told detectives that she had been having some mental health issues in the days leading up to the incident. Police are still investigating the whole thing.
