Satellite Beach Fire Chief Dave Abernathy has been chosen as the 2022 Fire Chief of the Year by the Space Coast Fire Chiefs Association. The Satellite Beach Fire Department includes 20 personnel serving in the positions of Professional Career Firefighter-Paramedic and Professional Reserve Firefighters.
