On Wednesday, Brevard County Commissioners held a special meeting with some elected county officials to discuss concerns they have with budgets. County leaders say they think that projected budget increases by both the Supervisor of Elections and the Property Appraiser are too high. The concern springs from a referendum that was approved by voters back in 2008 that caps budget increases at 3%. Commissioners say both the Supervisor of Elections and the Brevard County Property Appraiser are asking for increases that exceed that amount.
