Some Central Florida counties are investing in new technology to stop the spread of mosquito borne diseases such as Malaria, which was recently found in Florida for the first time in 20 years. No malaria reports here, but Brevard County is among the counties taking new preventive measures. Brevard has added cutting edge drone technology to fight mosquitos. The county has already been using planes, helicopters, and trucks equipped with sprayers. Now, workers are being trained to operate drones to fight mosquitos.
