L3Harris has gotten approval from Palm Bay for a little over $12 Million in city property tax breaks and is now looking at Brevard County for nearly $7 Million in tax breaks it has requested for an expansion plan. The tax breaks would be effective if L3Harris chooses Palm Bay as the site of two proposed expansions that the company says will create 201 high-paying jobs. L3Harris is reportedly also considering sites in Arizona, Colorado, Indiana, North Carolina and Texas, but the company says getting the Palm Bay and Brevard County tax breaks would make it more likely that the project would mean expansion locally.
