Tropics Remains Pretty Much Trouble Free

As we head into August, so far so good this Hurricane Season. The National Hurricane Center this morning, continues to keep an eye on two systems in the Atlantic that forecasters say each bring a chance of tropical cyclone formation. Invest 96L is in the Central Atlantic and is expected to see favorable conditions for a tropical depression to develop as it continues to move northwest. It’s not a threat to us here in Florida though. Also being monitored is a trough of low pressure off the Carolina coastline that forecasters say has a low chance of tropical cyclone formation. As of late last night, it was located about 100 miles southeast of Morehead City, North Carolina. It too though, is no threat to Florida.
