A Month Of Super Moons!

If you are into stargazing, the month of August is going to be a lot of fun for you. Two super moons will appear in August… one of them a rare blue moon. The first one is Tuesday evening, when the moon will rise and appear to be larger than normal. That’s because it will be closer than normal… only 222,159 miles away. But the moon will get even closer on the night of August 30th, when it will be just 222,043 miles away. Because it’s the second full moon in the same month, that full moon will be what’s known as a blue moon. The last time it happened was in 2018. It won’t happen again until 2037.
