Now that Hurricane Idalia is in the rear view mirror, get ready for the heat to be turned up again here in Central Florida. Some areas… particularly inland near Orlando… will see the heat index shoot up to around 111 degrees today. But a southwest wind flow will bring some moisture into the area, and the resulting showers will help to cool things down a bit when they happen. Most of Central Florida… including Brevard County… will be under a heat advisory again today, from about 11 this morning until around 5 this afternoon. While showers are expected today, our rain chances will drop lower over the upcoming Labor Day weekend.
