Idalia Takes Down 100 Year Old Tree At Governor’s Mansion

The winds and rain from Hurricane Idalia toppled a tree that was more than 100 years old Wednesday, at the governor’s mansion in Tallahassee. Governor Ron DeSantis, his wife Casey, and their three children were in the home during the storm. Nobody was hurt. Governor DeSantis said the ancient oak tree split in half and part of it fell. He said it didn’t hit the residence, but it did come close.
