The U.S. Census has released its latest state-to-county migration report, which estimates how many people moved into each of Florida’s counties between 2017 and 2021. The data tracks whether people moving to a county came from another county in Florida, a separate U.S. state, or a different region altogether. In Brevard County over those four years, more than 11,000 people moved here from other areas of Florida. 2,048 came from New York State; 1,700 came from Virginia; and 1,487 new Brevard County residents came from California… making up the top three states for migration into Brevard County.
