The operator of a motorcycle was stopped and arrested after leading Indian River County deputies on a high speed chase on US-1 in Sebastian. 41 year old William Brbovic of Kentucky was clocked at 77 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone by deputies using a radar gun. They attempted to pull him over in Sebastian, but Brbovic hit the gas and sped off, leading the deputies on a high speed chase that at one point, went on a sidewalk, and hit speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour. The sheriff’s helicopter unit was called in, and eventually Brbovic was stopped. Nobody was hurt. He’s now in the Indian River County Jail, with bond set at $50,000.
