4-Year-Old Child Left Alone At West Melbourne Pizzeria

A 4-year-old child was found sitting all alone at a pizzeria in West Melbourne over the weekend. West Melbourne Police were called by patrons at Chuck E. Cheese on Coastal Lane. With them were social workers from the Department of Children and Families. Through social media, the child was identified. Turns out, the child’s guardian, Sheteria Steadman, had been at the restaurant with nine other children and an another adult, and when found she was unaware that the boy was even missing. The child was handed over to the Department of Children and Families. Steadman now faces charges including child neglect. She is behind bars in the Brevard County Jail with bond set at $2,500.
