Another Cold Blast Headed Our Way

Central Florida is bracing for stormy weather after near record highs over the weekend. A strong cold front will bring thunderstorms, potentially severe, in some areas this afternoon. Light showers are expected this morning, with storms intensifying by early afternoon. Damaging winds and hail are possible between about 2 and 7pm, but those storms will taper off by evening. Then, get ready for some of the coldest air in weeks to move in on Tuesday and Wednesday. Temperatures will drop into the 40s and 50s in many parts of central Florida, with lows possibly reaching the upper 30s north of Orlando. Here in Brevard County, we won’t have it as bad as some other areas, but it will be cooler. Tomorrow we can expect high temperatures in the mid 60’s and lows Tuesday night in the upper 40’s.
