Florida Man Ordered To Remove Navigation Risk (Again)

A Florida man has been ordered by a federal court to remove his homemade floating structure from a South Florida lagoon after violating the Rivers and Harbors Act. Fane Lozman’s modified shipping container and floating docks, placed without authorization, posed risks to navigation and public safety. Despite legal action and previous confiscations, parts of the structure remained in Lake Worth Lagoon. Prosecutors highlighted incidents where docks became unmoored, one even beaching at a public park. Lozman’s history includes a similar violation in 2009, resulting in the confiscation and destruction of his floating fortress.
