Man Arrested For Threatening Pickleball Players With Machete

Across the state, in Naples, a maintenance worker was arrested after he was allegedly threatening pickleball players with a machete. It happened at the Pelican Marsh Community Center, where sheriff’s deputies say 53 year old Joseph Devalle confronted players, reportedly yelling and brandishing the weapon. Devalle claimed self-defense, saying the players threatened him first. He now faces charges including aggravated assault.
