One person is dead after a Brightline train slammed into a vehicle in Rockledge. It happened around 1 p.m. Friday at the Eyster Boulevard crossing near U.S. 1. The vehicle was destroyed and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Rockledge and Brevard County fire crews secured the area while officials investigated. The victim’s name has not yet been released.
