2025-05-07 – Another Successful SpaceX Launch

SpaceX launched another Falcon 9 rocket Tuesday night from Cape Canaveral, marking the 39th orbital liftoff of the year from here on the Space Coast. The 9:17 p.m. launch carried more 28 Starlink satellites into orbit. The rocket’s first-stage booster successfully landed on a drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean, marking its 7th mission.

2025-05-07 – Brevard Men Headed To Prison For Smuggling Illegal Aliens

Two Brevard County men are looking at some serious prison time for smuggling migrants from the Bahamas. Raymond Smith of Rockledge was sentenced to 30 months and must forfeit $284,000 and two boats. Michael Milano of Merritt Island pleaded guilty and awaits sentencing after being caught with 25 migrants at Sebastian Inlet.

The Brevard County sheriff is defending two deputies after a nonprofit founder accused them of abandoning a homeless woman. Surveillance video shows deputies dropping the woman off twice at Matthew’s Hope in Cocoa—both times outside business hours.
