Brevard County Environmentally Endangered Lands Committee To Meet Sept. 17

The Environmentally Endangered Lands Program Selection and Management Committee will hold a meeting from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Sept. 17, at the EEL Program Administrative Office in Melbourne. Nasa, Northrop Grumman And Spacex Set Falcon 9 Cargo Launch To Iss For Sunday

NASA, Northrop Grumman, and SpaceX are targeting 6:11 p.m. Sunday, for the launch of the Northrop Grumman CRS-23 mission from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. The Falcon 9 rocket will carry the first Cygnus cargo spacecraft, loaded with more than 11,000 pounds of science experiments, supplies, and equipment for the International Space Station.

Brevard School Board Approves $1.6 Billion Budget

Brevard’s school board has approved a budget of more than $1.6 billion for the 2026 fiscal year. More than half of the budget, about $835 million, is earmarked for the general fund. Other allocations include nearly $37 million for debt service.

Spacex Scrubs Falcon 9 Launch Again In Florida

For the second night in a row, SpaceX scrubbed its planned Falcon 9 launch from Cape Canaveral. Tuesday’s attempt was halted with just 29 seconds left on the clock because of weather violations. The mission is now scheduled for this evening, but forecasters still give only a 30 to 45 percent chance of favorable conditions.
