Osceola County Man Arrested in Online Child Exploitation Sting

An Osceola County Response Team worker was arrested after investigators say he tried to solicit nude photos from a child during an online sting. Deputies say Alberto “AJ” Castaner Jr., posed as an 11-year-old boy while communicating with undercover officers. He faces multiple felony charges now, and is being held without bond.

ULA Launches 27 Amazon Kuiper Satellites From Cape Canaveral

A United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket lifted off from Cape Canaveral Thursday morning just after 8, carrying 27 of Amazon’s Project Kuiper broadband satellites, aimed at expanding Amazon’s low Earth orbit network. The next Project Kuiper launch is planned for early next Wednesday.

Florida Unemployment Claims Drop to 5,590

The U.S. Department of Labor reported Thursday that initial filings for unemployment benefits in Florida fell to 5,590 last week, down from 6,075 the previous week. Nationwide, new claims dropped to 218,000, a decline of 14,000 from the prior week. Alaska saw the largest percentage increase in claims, while South Carolina recorded the biggest decline.
