Melbourne Alert System Compromised in Cybersecurity Incident

The city of Melbourne says a third-party alert system, CodeRED, was compromised in a cybersecurity incident. Officials say user data, including names, addresses, emails, phone numbers and passwords, may have been removed. CodeRED is working to secure the system and recommends users change passwords immediately, especially if reused on other accounts.

Invasive Armored Catfish Threaten Space Coast Waterways

An invasive armored catfish from the Amazon is spreading through Space Coast waterways, causing shoreline erosion and even harassing manatees. The bottom-feeding fish thrive in slow-moving rivers, lakes, and neighborhood ponds. Florida Fish and Wildlife officials say there are no limits on catching the fish, which are edible but difficult to clean.
