Reckless Driver Accused Of Striking Palm Bay Officer

Palm Bay police say a 25 year old Anthony Devon Nunnally intentionally rammed a patrol vehicle, then led officers on a two mile pursuit with his headlights off. Police say Nunnally crashed, resisted arrest, and showed signs of impairment. He faces multiple felony charges, including DUI and assault on a law enforcement officer.

Florida AG Says Race Based Laws Will Not Be Enforced

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier says his office will no longer defend or enforce more than 80 state laws he calls unconstitutional. In a legal opinion released on Martin Luther King Jr Day, Uthmeier says the statutes mandate racial discrimination and violate the US and Florida constitutions.

Brevard School Board Votes To Close Cape View Elementary

The Brevard Public Schools Board has voted unanimously to close Cape View Elementary School at the end of the school year. District leaders say years of declining enrollment and high per student costs made the school financially unsustainable. Nearly 300 students will be reassigned to Roosevelt Elementary, about seven miles away.
