Cocoa Beach leaders are moving ahead with plans to address erosion along Minutemen Causeway, warning utilities serving at least a thousand homes could be at risk. City commissioners are set to hire an engineering firm to design a fix. Just the design work is expected to cost about $87,000, with environmental impacts still under review.
