2 Launches Monday Send 50 More Satellites Into Orbit
Two rockets launched 50 broadband satellites into low-Earth orbit yesterday from here on the Space Coast, marking a significant step forward for two competing space-based internet companies. United Launch Alliance’s Atlas V rocket deployed Amazon’s first 27 Project Kuiper satellites at 7:01 p.m., while SpaceX followed at 10:34 p.m. with 23 additional Starlink satellites.
