A Volusia County man was arrested Monday for threatening Gov. Ron DeSantis and other officials through posts on X. Authorities traced the account to 39 year old Daniel Cook’s home in Edgewater after identifying his email, phone number, and IP address. Cook admitted ownership of the account during an interview with the Volusia Sheriff’s Office. He faces multiple charges, including threatening an elected official and using a communications device to facilitate a felony.
