A driver on northbound I-95 struck a Florida Highway Patrol cruiser and a Brevard County deputy’s vehicle Saturday near mile marker 185. The collision began when the driver of a blue Kia failed to stop for the sheriff’s vehicle, causing it to hit the FHP cruiser. The Kia driver suffered serious injuries and was taken to Holmes Regional Medical Center, while the trooper sustained minor injuries. Authorities are investigating the crash as a hit-and-run.
