Brevard County Ocean Rescue is preparing for the summer season with lifeguard tryouts set for Monday, February 16, at 1 p.m. at Gleason Park. Officials say candidates must be at least 16 years old by the start of the academy and complete a swim, run, and push-up test. No prior lifeguard experience is required, and training is provided for those selected.
