A vehicle fire sparked a brush blaze Sunday afternoon near mile marker 234, just south of the Daytona International Speedway. Dry conditions and gusty winds pushed flames and heavy smoke toward I-95, forcing a shutdown in both directions and snarling traffic as racing fans tried to leave the area. Fire crews contained the blaze after several hours, no injuries were reported, and the highway later reopened.
