An Osceola County judge sentenced 70 year old Richard Ferguson to 37 years in prison after a jury found him guilty of manslaughter in a 2023 crash that killed three children and their grandmother. Prosecutors said Ferguson allowed his unlicensed teenage son to drive, leading to the deadly collision. The judge rejected defense requests for leniency despite Ferguson’s serious health issues. Ferguson has 30 days to appeal the sentence.
