A Brevard County man is behind bars after deputies say he stole an ambulance while paramedics were treating a patient in the back. Authorities say Layne Featherngill took control of the active emergency vehicle, putting crews and the patient at risk. No serious injuries were reported. Featherngill is charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle and burglary of an occupied conveyance and is being held at the Brevard County Jail without bond.
