Florida lawmakers are moving forward with a proposal that would allow homeowners to dissolve their homeowners associations. House Bill 657 outlines a process requiring signatures from at least half of voting members and approval from two-thirds at a formal meeting. The measure also creates a new Community Association Court program to handle disputes. If approved by the full Legislature and signed by Governor Ron DeSantis, the law would take effect July 1.
