Brevard County schools are taking legal action to stop outside companies from selling merchandise with school logos. District leaders say cease-and-desist letters were sent to three vendors accused of selling shirts and other items through major retailers without proper approval. The district is now trademarking its logos so schools can control sales and keep more of the profits for boosters and programs.
