Get ready to hear some rumble! SpaceX’s first launch of the new year is set for this morning, and it will include a sonic boom generating landing at Cape Canaveral. A SpaceX Falcon 9 is set to liftoff at 9:56AM today from the Cape’s launch pad 40. A little less than 9 minutes later, you can expect to hear some window rattling sonic booms as the rocket’s first stage booster attempts what will be its 15th return and another landing at Cape Canaveral Landing Zone 1. This morning’s mission will carry a total of 114 customer payloads into space, that will all deploy over the course of about an hour and a half after liftoff. If for any reason SpaceX has to delay this morning’s launch, it would likely be attempted again tomorrow morning around the same time.
