Hundreds of well-wishers lined Melbourne Orlando International Airport Saturday night to welcome home 48 U.S. military veterans from the Space Coast Honor Flight. Veterans from the Korean War, Vietnam War, and post-Vietnam conflicts returned from a daylong tour of Washington, D.C.. Flying out of Melbourne instead of Orlando cut travel time by at least four hours. Spectators waved flags, handed out letters of thanks, and watched veterans pass under a saber arch as guardians escorted them off the plane.
