A dead 10-foot pygmy sperm whale washed ashore in Indialantic, and now researchers are looking into what caused the whale’s death. It was discovered Friday morning just north of James H. Nance Park. According to experts, pygmy sperm whales are… after dolphins… the second most common whale of dolphin species that washed up dead along the shores of the southeastern United States, so the find was not all that unusual. Now the search is on to try to determine why it died.
