United Launch Alliance had intended to send up an Atlas V rocket from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station’s Launch Complex 41 this morning, but that has now been delayed due to Tropical Storm Idalia, which is zeroing in on the gulf coast and specifically, the big bend area of Florida. A new launch date has not yet been announced. The launch was intended to carry a classified national security payload into orbit. The rocket has now been rolled back inside for protection out of what ULA is calling “an abundance of caution for personnel safety.”
