A big surge of tropical moisture is moving in from the Gulf of Mexico, and that means some strong to severe storms are headed toward many parts of Central Florida. Light showers are possible in some areas… mainly north and west of Brevard County this morning, and some of those areas will see some heavy rain after lunch. Later this afternoon, and then mostly this evening and overnight, we here on the Space Coast will also see some strong thunderstorms with wind gusts that could reach near 50 miles per hour, and it will last until early Thursday morning. Things should begin to dry out by Thursday afternoon.
