A fire on the port side of Carnival Freedom’s exhaust funnel off the coast of the Bahamas caused a stir during its voyage. Passengers aboard the ship that calls Port Canaveral home, reported a loud thunder clap followed by lightning, possibly sparking the blaze. The captain swiftly turned the ship to a rainy area to douse the flames. No injuries reported, and the ship was expected to reach Freeport as scheduled.
