A Brevard County businessman is accused of human trafficking. Raymond Smith, owner of G & G Roofing in Rockledge, faces accusations of transporting undocumented migrants to the Bahamas for work on his property there. According to federal documents, Smith directed migrants to be transported via vessel to avoid detection, rather than flying with proper documentation. The complaint also alleges that those individuals were employees of G & G Roofing. Federal agents intercepted Smith’s boat, finding four Hondurans on board, three with pending immigration cases. Smith’s company has been in business for 17 years, and employs 80 to 100 workers.
