Lightning Strike Disables Boat

Seven people were rescued by the U.S. Coast Guard after their boat was struck by lightning near Cape Canaveral. The incident occurred two miles east of Cape Canaveral, leaving the 24-foot vessel disabled. The Coast Guard transported the passengers to safety at Jetty Park Boat Ramp, where EMS was waiting. The vessel was anchored, and a safety marine information broadcast was issued to alert nearby mariners. Thankfully, all 7 who were involved are now safe, thanks to the quick response of the Coast Guard.
