One person was killed in a crash on Friday afternoon in Brevard County along I-95. The Florida Highway Patrol says it occurred around 1:45 p.m. when a Chevy Malibu was stopped in the inside southbound lane near mile marker 161 in Sebastian, and a Toyota Corolla, traveling in the same lane, rear-ended the Malibu while attempting to avoid a collision with another vehicle. The impact caused the Corolla to overturn, resulting in the death of the 29-year-old female driver and injuring her 31-year-old passenger. The driver of the Malibu sustained minor injuries and was also hospitalized. Multiple lanes were temporarily closed. No names have yet been released, and the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
