A boater is safe after a dramatic rescue operation on Saturday in Volusia County. It happened in the Mosquito Lagoon, where the boater was initially reported missing when their boat capsized. A boat captain led rescue crews onto the lagoon, where marine units soon joined in the search. A good Samaritan on a jet ski spotted the distressed individual over a mile and a half from channel marker 14 and came to their aid. The boater was safely brought aboard the jet ski and then assisted by rescue crews. Thankfully, there were no injuries reported.
