Laundromat Thief Gets A Cot In Brevard Jail

In a classic case of “crime doesn’t pay,” 39 year old Jeffrey Duffey found himself behind bars after a daring laundromat heist that’s more complicated than a high school math problem. According to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, it was back on June 17, Duffey allegedly used a crowbar to break into the “employee only” section of the Laundromat of Port St. John, only to find himself in a restricted crawl space before shimmying across rafters in an effort to steal thousands from the coin machines… leaving a trail of evidence. Duffey, already on probation for a gas station burglary, apparently thought robbing a laundromat was a fresh start. He’s now facing grand theft, burglary, and other charges following his arrest near the Space Coast Flea Market.
