The latest crash occurred early last Friday morning when the driver veered off U.S. Highway 192, destroying part of the boardwalk before fleeing the scene. Friday’s incident marked the second time the boardwalk has been damaged by impaired drivers. The town is exploring long-term solutions to prevent future accidents. No injuries were reported in the crash. No word yet on whether or not police have any suspects.
